Each of the silver bars in the Geiger Original Series has a total of seven different anti-counterfeiting measures. These measures are both refined into the bar itself through the production process and included in the packaging of the bars. In terms of design, the obverse field has a pearl finish, while the reverse has a textured, high-relief design finish. The bar has a ribbed edge around its outside similar to that commonly found on bullion coins.
The reverse field of each bar also has a UV coating that displays unique elements when exposed to black light. The center of the reverse design field displays an additional LEV rhombus under black light, while the serial number is also highlighted in UV coating.
All 10 oz Geiger Square Bars come in special packaging that also helps prevent counterfeiting. Individual bars arrive in protective plastic, while orders of 45 bars are vacuum sealed and stacked inside of boxes. The individual packaging and boxes alike feature security labels for added protection as well.
The obverse of the Geiger Square Silver Bars features the image of Schloss Guldengossa in the center field. Engravings include that of the refiner name above, with the weight, metal content, and purity featured below.
On the reverse of the 10 oz Geiger Square Silver Bar is the repeating design of the LEV rhombus. This unique logo is featured across the bar at a 45-degree angle, with a unique serial number engraved in a horizontal block field at the bottom of the design area.
Geiger Original Series bars all feature a square design with rounded corners. The bars are available in silver from 1 Gram up to 5 Kilograms, and in gold as well from 1 Gram up to 1 Kilogram.
Located outside of Leipzig, Germany, Geiger Edelmetalle first refined and processed precious metals in 1218. Today, the company is one of the most respected in the world and is a private German operation.
