THIS PRODUCT LISTING IS FOR 50 ROUNDS (5 TROY OUNCES OF SILVER)

The 1/10th oz Walking Liberty Round is the smallest, most divisible silver product that we carry and is available in brand new condition. This particular listing is for a full, mint-sealed roll of 50 1/10th oz rounds (a total of 5 troy ounces). Each round in the roll features the popular Walking Liberty design and consists of 99.9% pure silver with a weight of 1/10th troy ounce.

Walking Liberty Design

The Walking Liberty design was first introduced in 1916 for use on the United States Silver Half Dollar. On a mission to revamp America’s coinage, Mint Director Robert Woolley enlisted the help of the Commission of Fine Arts to find the next design. Winning this competition was Adolph A. Weinman who created what is now known as the Walking Liberty design. This design was used on Half Dollars from 1916 to 1947 and today is considered to be one of the most iconic images in the history of the U.S. Mint.

Obverse

On the front of each 1/10th oz round is a rendition of Weinman’s Walking Liberty design. In this image Lady Liberty is shown walking towards the rising sun. Her right arm is set forth in a welcoming gesture with her left hand holding a bundle of laurel and oak. At her feet is the sea with the sun rising behind. Circling above this scene is the word “Liberty” while the phrase “In God We Trust” is stamped in smaller letters to the right.

Reverse

The reverse also features most of the same imagery and phrases as the original coin. At the center of the design is a large image of an eagle as he prepares for landing. Above him is a stamp for our country which shows “United States of America.” Stamped just before this marking and to the left of the eagle is the phrase “E Pluribus Unum.” Underneath the eagle are markings for the round’s weight and silver purity. This information reads: “1/10 Troy Oz. .999 Fine Silver.”
